Richard P. Benton, Jr.
Chairman of the Board of the Christopher Arnold Athletic Association, Inc. One of the original members of the CAAA, he has served several positions including, Vice-President and President. Mr. Benton has been a resident of Darby Township since 1955. He was educated in the Darby Township school system and attended Temple University. Richard has been employed for 33 years at Sunoco, Inc.

Mr. Benton is a member of the First African Baptist Church of Darby Township and also serves a member fo the Sun East Federal Credit Union's Loan Review Committee. In 2001, Mr. Benton was honored by the Neighbor to Neighbor CBDC of the First African Baptist Church for community service and by PECO Energy - Philadelphia Eagles as a Hometown Hero.

He is married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren.

Derick Loury
A native of Darby Township who now resides in Cherry Hill, NJ. He is a graduate of Darby Township High School, Class of 1980. He led his teams to three championships while scoring a total of 1,137 points in three seasons. He earned a full basketball scholarship to Houston Baptist University in Texas. In 1981, he transferred to Rider University where he later earned a degree in Sociology with a minor in Police Science.

Mr. Loury is currently employed at the New Jersey Department of Corrections in Prison Administration. He is a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Bethany Baptist Church in Lindenwald, NJ.

Mr. Loury is one of the founding members of the Christoper Arnold Athletic Association. He has been serving his former community for over 23 years. Currently he is serving as the first Executive Director of the CAAA.

Bernard V. Dickerson, Sr.

Mr. Dickerson began his teaching career at Darby Township High School in 1964. During his 31 years he was afforded the opportunity to coach both boys and girls. The pinnacle was a State Championship Boys Basketball title in 1975.

Darby Township has always been his second home and he is proud to see his former students participate in a save the children effort. He looks forward to serving in any capacity to aide and strengthen the leadership of the Christoper Arnold Athletic Association.

Mr. Dickerson is a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church.

Claude J. Edney, Jr.
A life long resident and graduate of Darby Township High School, Class of 1968. Mr. Edney has a B.S. in Marketing from Howard University. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1975. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Sciences in 1976.

Mr. Edney is a second-generation funeral supervisor of the Claude J. Edney Funeral Home, Inc. and also a founding member of the Christoper Arnold Athletic Association.

He is married and the father of 2 children.
